The Details

SEER2 is the DOE's updated efficiency standard, tested under conditions closer to real home operation than the older SEER rating. EER2 measures efficiency at the 95 degree peak, while SEER2 covers a whole cooling season from 65 to 104 degrees. Missouri falls in the DOE North region, where the minimum is 14.0 SEER or 13.4 SEER2. Our Carrier line meets the local minimum and runs up to 24 SEER2, led by the Infinity Variable-Speed with Greenspeed Intelligence (up to 21 SEER2, variable-speed compressor, sound as low as 55 decibels).

Good To Know

Depending on your average usage, higher SEER2 and EER2 air conditioners can significantly reduce your electric bill. Many of our units add two-stage compressors and variable speed fan operation, which improve comfort as well as efficiency. We install the Carrier line as a factory authorized dealer and we service and repair all makes and models, with 24/7 emergency service when the AC quits in July.

We called Central Heating & Cooling, Montgomery City MO, and they answered, took our name & said they would get to us as soon as they could.  That was at 10am on a Sunday morning. At 3:00pm that day Ben B showed up and within 45 minutes we had cool air again!  He was FANTASTIC!!  He knew what he was doing, did it efficiently and was also very nice and friendly. He even went into the crawl space under the house to make sure no mice had chewed through the wiring.  He was very methodical in his approach in diagnosing our problem. The Central repairman came very quickly and replaced the tubing. Then I remembered the worn out flapper in the toilet tank and he replaced that as well. Very professional and pleasant to work with.
