The Details

Humidifiers work in tandem with your heating system to deliver the humidity level you want throughout the home. Moderate humidity makes you feel warmer at lower temperatures, so you can set the thermostat lower in winter without sacrificing comfort. Sizing is measured in Gallons Per Day (GPD): we offer models from 12 to 18 GPD, and the Performance Series Steam Humidifier (HUMCRSTM) produces up to 34 gallons per day depending on voltage and amperage.

Good To Know

The Carrier line covers a steam unit, a fan-powered model (HUMCRLFP, up to 17 to 18 gallons of water vapor per day), a high capacity bypass (HUMCRLBP) and a water-saver bypass (HUMCRWBP). All run very quiet to nearly silent, with a choice of a 10-year parts only limited warranty or 5-year parts plus 3-year labor. We size the unit to the home, not the other way around.

We called Central Heating & Cooling, Montgomery City MO, and they answered, took our name & said they would get to us as soon as they could.  That was at 10am on a Sunday morning. At 3:00pm that day Ben B showed up and within 45 minutes we had cool air again!  He was FANTASTIC!!  He knew what he was doing, did it efficiently and was also very nice and friendly. He even went into the crawl space under the house to make sure no mice had chewed through the wiring.  He was very methodical in his approach in diagnosing our problem. The Central repairman came very quickly and replaced the tubing. Then I remembered the worn out flapper in the toilet tank and he replaced that as well. Very professional and pleasant to work with.
