Packaged systems put the complete unit in a single self-contained cabinet located outside the home, mounted on the ground or the roof and ducted in. The line includes Packaged Air Conditioners, Packaged Gas Furnace and Air Conditioner combinations, Packaged Heat Pumps and Packaged Hybrid Heat. They carry the same SEER2, EER2, AFUE and HSPF2 ratings as split systems: the Performance 16 packaged AC reaches up to 16 SEER2, gas and electric packages run up to 81% AFUE, and the hybrid packages combine up to 15.5 SEER2 with up to 81% AFUE.

Packaged units suit homes without indoor space for a furnace and coil, and they simplify replacement where a packaged unit already sits. Advanced features like two-stage compressors, multi-speed blowers and quiet operation are available through the line. We called Central Heating & Cooling, Montgomery City MO, and they answered, took our name & said they would get to us as soon as they could.  That was at 10am on a Sunday morning. At 3:00pm that day Ben B showed up and within 45 minutes we had cool air again!  He was FANTASTIC!!  He knew what he was doing, did it efficiently and was also very nice and friendly. He even went into the crawl space under the house to make sure no mice had chewed through the wiring.  He was very methodical in his approach in diagnosing our problem. The Central repairman came very quickly and replaced the tubing. Then I remembered the worn out flapper in the toilet tank and he replaced that as well. Very professional and pleasant to work with.
