The Details

Regular maintenance means longer-lasting equipment, lower utility bills, fewer repairs and a more comfortable house. A furnace tune-up tests for carbon monoxide leaks, cleans the burner, ignition and blower assemblies, inspects filtration and vent piping, checks flue draft and combustion, tests safety controls, tightens electrical connections and calibrates the thermostat.

Good To Know

An air conditioner tune-up cleans the condenser coil, inspects the evaporator coil, clears the condensate drain, checks for refrigerant leaks, tests starting capability, measures temperature differential, and monitors refrigerant pressure, amperage and voltage. We called Central Heating & Cooling, Montgomery City MO, and they answered, took our name & said they would get to us as soon as they could.  That was at 10am on a Sunday morning. At 3:00pm that day Ben B showed up and within 45 minutes we had cool air again!  He was FANTASTIC!!  He knew what he was doing, did it efficiently and was also very nice and friendly. He even went into the crawl space under the house to make sure no mice had chewed through the wiring.  He was very methodical in his approach in diagnosing our problem. The Central repairman came very quickly and replaced the tubing. Then I remembered the worn out flapper in the toilet tank and he replaced that as well. Very professional and pleasant to work with. What is included in a furnace tune-up?

CO leak test, burner and ignition cleaning, blower cleaning and adjustment, filtration and vent inspection, safety control tests, electrical tightening and thermostat calibration.
